Ginger was a character in the 2000 Aardman film, 'Chicken Run'. She was voiced by Julia Sawalha and was the chicken responsible for rallying the other chicken. Ginger was also the love interest of Rocky the Rooster, voiced by Mel Gibson. 'Chicken Run' is about a coop of chicken who, inspired by an American circus rooster, plan a great escape from a Yorkshire farm.
